Howdy,
On Airsoft Pacific my user name is Bic 101. I am an OSU student and interested in joining a team. I am fairly financially strapped but would be very willing to put forward effort to become a part of the team. I guess I'm looking for more information about the process of joining.
Cheers,
Nick

Hey
Welcome to our boards. We do require new recruits to have a set of OD or Multicam when they Start out but we understand that some people can't get new camo right away. Basically you just need to attend some games that our members are also going to be at and run with us. If we like you and feel that you are a good fit we will cast a vote.
As long as you are cool and call your hits, you're in.

Welcome! You have taken the first step. One of our members Orion goes to OSU. Maybe somehow you can get to know him a little. We don't have a checklist of things for you to do in order to join. We of course would like you to come out to a game where we have some members and introduce yourself, maybe play on the same side for the event. We like to get to know people and see how they handle themselves on and off the field. Once we feel we have gotten a sense of what kind of person/player you are we vote. We do have a required gear list as mentioned in this thread pscinc.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=howtojoinpsc&action=display&thread=85Mostly what is important though is to have all the required safety gear, Boots, BDUs to match ours and decent AEG with enough magazines to support yourself in action. Of course many of us have extra mags and can at times help another out.

Welcome to our site! I'm also a student at OSU. If you want to meet up and talk about the team I'd be happy to answer your questions. Send me a PM if you're interested.
The biggest part of becoming a member of the team is for everyone to get to know you. I would recommend that you post up a short bio (name, age, previous airsoft experience, other hobbies, what you are looking for in a team, a list of your gear, etc.).

Well,
My name is Nick Genovese, I'm going in to my second year at OSU in Nuclear Engineering. I haven't been Airsofting for too long, about a year now since my first go. I really liked it, much better than paint balling, and for a long time wanted to get a gun but never had the money to. In April I bought a KWA Full Metal M4 RIS from a kid in Corvallis and have been both getting it to work and using it since then.
I don't have much field experience in a proper team due to being relatively new to the sport but I do know a fair bit when it comes to the theory of specific tactics. (this is not to say I can execute them very well) I would really like to get some experience in the tactical arena as well as the urban theater.
I am also an avid mountain biker and competitive sailor. I have been racing sail boats for 7 years now with my dad all of which I have spent as the helmsmen then, since about 2007, the skipper (think squad leader) of our boat. Not to blow my own horn but my most notable achievement in sailing is being 5th in the nation in my class of boat.
As for a team, I'm looking for a group of people to be able to have fun with but to also take the sport seriously and also to be able to conduct the team with sportsmanship and honor.
My gear list is short but effective:
KWA M4 RIS -395-398 fps -stock internals (I want to get a longer TTB to extend into the suppressor I have) Roughly 12 mid-cap magazines Condor Chest Rig Condor Single Point Sling
WE 1911 Single Stack (no working magazines) Condor Drop Leg Holster
I don't have any camo so I usually wear a pair of blue jeans with a black tee-shirt with my boots.
If anyone has any questions feel free to ask.
Cheers and thanks for the warm welcome.
Nick

Thanks...
But yes, Vito Genovese, a.k.a. "Don Vito," is like my fourth or fifth uncle two or three times removed.

I've been out of town. I'm back now.
Welcome to our boards. I'll be at Infidel Bash and many of us will be at Lords of War. Come, hang out, play with us for the day. If you have fun, pester us. I can provide a ride if you need one.
Sailboat, huh? I all but grew up on a 30' Islander and just bought a Hobie Cat this summer. What do you sail?

Well, small world isn't it. I sail out of Eugene Yacht Club on Fern Ridge mostly. It is really only a Yacht Club in name because there is nothing fancy about it.
I sail/skipper a Santana 20, hull #907, name In-N-Out after the restaurant. I also have a Laser which I sail from time to time.
Is anyone going to OP Ride the Lighting?

A smaller world than you know. Best place to take my Hobie around here has been...Fern Ridge.
How old are you? Old enough to go out for a beer yet? Even if you decide PSC isn't for you, I'd like to pick your brain about competitive sailing. That sounds like fun.
I can not go to Ride the Lightning, unfortunately.

Unfortunately I'm only 19 but if I could I would no worries. It would be great to get together and talk sailing. I have a pretty easy schedule so most any time is good.
Cheers.

A sailor, a nuke engineer, and an airsofter who has good grammar. Is the navy in your future?
I haven't even met him and I like him already.
